How Cheri works

Cheri adds a thin layer of intelligence on top of your shopping: simple ethical scores, clear comparisons, and rewards for choosing better brands.

1. Install Cheri

Add the Cheri Chrome extension to your browser. Once installed, it sits quietly in the background while you browse your usual fashion, beauty, lifestyle, and home sites.

2. Browse as usual

When you land on a supported retailer, Cheri detects the brand and surfaces a simple, visual score for that brand’s ethics and impact. No extra searching, tabs, or spreadsheets.

3. See ethical scores instantly

Cheri aggregates multiple dimensions of a brand’s behavior—labor, environment, transparency, certifications, and more—into a single score. You can quickly understand how a brand compares to its peers and decide if it aligns with your values.

4. Choose better, without guilt

Cheri is not about shaming your cart. It’s about giving you enough signal to choose a slightly better option when it fits your budget and style. You’ll see suggestions for higher-scoring alternatives where it makes sense.

5. Earn rewards when you shop responsibly

When you shop through Cheri with participating retailers, you may earn rewards in the form of cashback or donations to causes. These rewards come from retailers and affiliate partners—never from increasing your price at checkout.

Rewards are an optional layer on top of the core scoring experience. Ethical ratings are always independent from commercial partnerships.

6. Track your impact over time

With a Cheri account, you’ll be able to see your cumulative impact: how often you chose higher-scoring brands, how your average ethical score compares to the typical shopper, and how your rewards were used.

Cheri is still in beta. Features described here may evolve as we learn from early users and refine the scoring model.
